To discuss where I've been and reasons I love her

You know it's been a while since you last blogged when your girlfriend texts you to see if there's any reason you haven't posted anything in a week.
That's what it came to with Capricorn yesterday. She noticed my last post was my Top Model play-by-play last Thursday. In blog time, that's eons, or about 15,000 minutes more than The Bachelor's allotted minutes of fame.
I assured her I haven't abandoned my love for writing Wild ARS Chase, or, in connection, my love of reading your blogs. In reality, it's been a combination of things:
  • I'm moving on up to the east side of my town. That's not as dramatic a move as Haute Pocket did, but it still requires packing everything up, painting walls back to their original color (what, hot pink isn't in these days?), cleaning and lining up all the address changes and utilities. Rich people hire people to do this for them. Considering my tax bracket includes the bracket of people who get hired to do such moving, this isn't an option for me. Or, I could hire homeless people. Possibilities...
  • I haven't felt great, on and off, for several weeks. It's a series of random headaches that by all accounts and family history are likely migraines, but in any case, it's set me behind. Just another reason I should stop huffing glue.
  • Work has become more intense, and I'm trying to write more for my work blog, too.
  • And, the best reason: This past Monday was my sixth-month anniversary with Capricorn. So, for the past several days while I was hanging out with her, I decided I wanted to give her all my attention.
Yes, that's right. For those of you who have read Wild ARS since the beginning (it's been 7-plus months), you have read every step of my relationship with Capricorn, down to when she got her nickname.
Most notably, you've read about our weekend adventures together. So, to commemorate six months with the woman I love and in an effort to hear audible gagging through my wireless Internet connection, here are my six favorite Capricandy-blogged weekend moments:
  • Fall Fest 2008: We got so excited about it that it took on all the grandeur and celebration of an actual holiday, Flag Day and Arbor Day excluded. We carved pumpkins and saw a movie that shall not be named.
  • Feliz Navidad 2008: Another faux holiday, another eventful weekend. If you aren't creating fake holidays for yourself, do it. It makes everything more fun and gives you reasons to drink and sing. For this day, we made enchiladas, drank margaritas, watched Home Alone and trimmed the Christmas tree.
  • First I Love You: In early December, just before my trip to Atlanta, the following happened: "I got nervous and basically blurted (I love you) out after wanting to say it for weeks. It was akin to romantic Tourettes. Fortunately, she thought it was cute."
  • Christmas 2008: A real holiday this time, made special by having Capricorn in my life. Also, it was special because I had to buy Capricorn's dad his gift Christmas morning because the store closed early the night before.
  • Trip to Pittsburgh: Any woman who is up for a 4-hour car trip to visit my college friends and my parents is worth keeping around. The kicker: On the way home, a delirious, tired Capricorn busted out this freestyle rap: "Ears are popping, pants are dropping, mountains make me so horny."
  • Action-packed: We saw The Wrestler, ate Cheesy Tots, dyed her hair, went bowling, knifed derelicts, breast-fed tiger cubs... the works. I love that she's up for anything.
And that, blog friends, all seems like excellent evidence why the next six months should be great as well. Love you, Capricorn.
(End of mushy stuff)

I appreciate all of you being understanding if I go occasionally AWOL, but, as I noticed in recent weeks, it looks like several of you don't mind if you have one less blog to read from time to time to lessen the Google reader load. I'll get back in the swing of reading/commenting as soon as my Internet connection is set up at my new place, too. Sorry if you mentioned me and I didn't catch it. Please send me to my room and don't give me dessert.
Coming up soon: Top Model play-by-play, MILF, a moving update, Fake Andy and a ShamWow review.

6 months is a big deal! Congrats :)

Good luck with the painting/packing/moving/feeling better. Moving is so insanely stressful that the last time I did it I informed the boy that I will never move again. He's convinced at some point I'll want to. He's wrong.

Also...I'm SUPER pumped for the Shamwow review. I love those ridiculous infomercials, but I'm really intrigued by shamwow. I hope it works!

Congrats on the 6 months!!! I'd normally be the.. aww that's so sweet... type of person, but seeing i'm still anti-relationships your sweetness makes me gag :) i'm kidding.. kinda!! hahaha

If you need any help moving let me know!

That's adorable.

I think I just threw up a little. My body won't allow me to accept happiness. It's the reason my boyfriend and I spend most of our time insulting and threatening each other.

But seriously, congratulations.

*hack, gag*

Awwww... I love you guys. I didn't want to love Capricorn, you know, 'cause I wanted you all for myself and all, but hey, I'm nothing if not flexible. Congrats on your 6 month anniversary!!!

It's understandable you want to spend your time with your girl and not us awesome bloggers. Congrats on the 6 months together.

I haven't been blogging much either but my excuse is that I think all my recent posts suck.

aw! I think I just hummed out loud "Ears are popping, pants are dropping..."!

Congrats. And don't worry about writing less. I'm also gearing up on a move so I know how it is, brotha.

I was actually going to suggest you huff MORE glue, but each to their own, I guess. That post was so, so sweet and having it be the first one in awhile made it like Halloween night where you gorge on all those sweets all at once and then can't look at them for a few days without your teeth hurting and your stomach turning over. But eventually you come back and eat them again. (Or something like that...)

Good luck with the move!

And at least you did'nt 1st tell Capricorn you loved her when you were hundreds of miles away, drunk off your ass and passing out at the bar. Oh yes. Very romantic. But then again I guess I did end up marrying him. What a terd.

Migraines suck so bad, I feel your pain! You don't want to look at a bright computer screen much less think!

Headaches are lame. They once kept me from blogging for nearly six months.

Congrats on the big 6 months!!

Wait... hold up. Six months? What the eff? It's been that long already? Gee-frickin'-whiz.

Well, congratulations. And that's real.

Congrats to you and Capricorn!

Don't worry about being MIA for awhile. You have other blogs to write also. I just don't see how you do it all AND divide your time with Capricorn.

She's very lucky!!

We'll still be here!!

Sorry if anyone had trouble commenting... Let me know if you still are (e-mail me)...

Thanks for all the well wishes. I try not to get mushy too often, but hey, a man only lives once.

And hope you feel better and good luck moving.

Wow, six months already? Damn. I'm more in shock that my attention span has kept me coming back this long to your blog...

Kidding kidding. Kind of.
